MENOPAUSE

The menopause represents a physiological phase of female life, marked by the cessation of ovarian follicular activity and the definitive disappearance of the menstrual cycle. This process is natural and inevitable, but it involves a series of changes that can profoundly affect a woman's quality of life. Hot flashes, night sweats, insomnia, mood swings, vaginal dryness, osteoporosis and increased cardiovascular risk are just some of the most common complaints that accompany this transition.

Menopause also causes several changes to the skin, mainly due to the decrease in oestrogen such as dryness, thinning, loss of elasticity, increased wrinkles, and increased skin sensitivity.

With the support of qualified professionals, Max Pier organises a course aimed exclusively at beauticians and wellness professionals to discover together how to deal with this phase of life by applying the Global Method in their daily work in the institute.

Treating the face also becomes essential: the skin, especially with the passing of the years, tends to lose its shine and make expression lines more pronounced, losing tone and firmness.

Max Pier's toning facial massage is a manual technique that acts directly on the connective tissue to improve the tone of the skin and facial muscles, giving a natural lifting effect. In brief:

  • It stimulates blood and lymphatic circulation, promotes cell renewal and collagen production, reducing wrinkles and improving skin firmness.
  • It is a deep and enveloping manual technique that restores tone to all facial muscles by involving the connective tissue, effectively stimulating cell renewal and tissue oxygenation.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

  • To offer specific knowledge on the menopause ranging from physiology to emotional aspects and skin changes.
  • To provide the institute with an exclusive cosmetic and manual approach to address this critical period that amplifies blemishes.
  • Enable the beauty therapist to set specific facial treatments and direct the client towards appropriate lifestyles to regain well-being, beauty and balance even in this new phase of life.

TOPICS OF THE COURSE

  • Gynaecology pills: although it is often seen as a single moment in time, the menopause is actually a transition that occurs over several years: it is a dynamic period in which women experience changes in their menstrual cycle and beyond, and which marks the transition from fertile to infertile age. We will discover together the different phases and how to cope with them.
  • Psychology pills: during the menopause many women experience psychological symptoms such as anxiety, depression, mood swings, irritability, memory and concentration difficulties, and asthenia. Because of these and the concomitant physical symptoms, the change is often experienced negatively. We will see together with the psychologist how to turn change into an opportunity.
  • Nutrition pills: a healthy lifestyle and proper nutrition can help reduce symptoms and protect women from possible long-term health problems. The nutritionist will talk about dietary supplementation, energy and water requirements, and much more.
TOPICS OF THE COURSE

  • Notions of psychosomatics: the menopause, like puberty, is driven by the endocrine system, which in both cases induces profound physical, psychic and emotional changes, leading to a phase of reassumption of one's identity redefined by a hormonal earthquake. We will start from the basic concept of the Max Pier Global Method: the body speaks and never lies.
  • Notions of massage therapy: the benefits of massage on the face and body during this phase of transformation are essential for regaining balance and psychophysical well-being. We will present specific manuals and work protocols integrating, as always, elements of Reflexology.
  • Elements of cosmetology: in menopausal women, in the first 5 years alone, there is a decrease in the production of hyaluronic acid and collagen of around 30%, with a drastic reduction in cell turnover and consequently a greater appearance of wrinkles. We will see which active ingredients help combat this phenomenon, which is as natural as it is indigestible.
  • Application of the Max Pier Global Method.
